IMG_0661What We Believe

The Authority of the Bible:                   We acknowledge the Bible to be the only rule of our faith and behaviour. That its teaching is helpfully set forth in the Westminster Confession of Faith (2 Timothy 3:15,16).

The Doctrine of the Trinity: We acknowledge there to be only one God, who is in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28: 16-20).

The Centrality of Christ: We proclaim Him to be the only Lord and Saviour, such that no one can come to God apart from Him (John 14:6).

The Activity of the Holy Spirit: We believe that it is not by our own might, nor by our own power that the church lives and grows, but by the power of God’s Spirit, and that we persistently call upon God to grant us a fuller measure of His Spirit.

Salvation by Grace Alone: We are committed to the doctrine of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, and by Christ alone (Ephesians 2: 8-9).

The Necessity of Obedience: We regard obedience to Jesus Christ as the fruit of genuine faith. We are not saved by good works, but unto good works (Ephesians 2:10). We believe holiness to be the fruit of regeneration, such that without holiness no one will see God (Hebrews 12: 14).
